Through some vigorous trial and error, experimenting and research we have perfected our foil printing process! The gallery below shows the step by step process we use to apply the textile foil to the new "9 Mantra" from the House of Shroom!
Start with a roll of textile foil
We start with a roll of special textile foil from one of our distributers.
Cut to size
We trim the foil to size to reduce waste and make it easier to apply to the grament.
Textile adhesive is screen printed onto the shirt
A thin layer of textile adhesive is printed on to the garment where the foil will be applied.
The garments is cured
Once pulled from the screen press machine, the garment is put into a curing oven set to around 350° F.
The foil is applied
As soon as the garment exist the oven a layer of textile foil is applied to the garment.
Foil is smoothed out
The foil is smoothed across the print to ensure coverage and contact with the textile adhesive.
Pressing the foil
The foil is aggressively pressed onto the garment to ensure a strong bond with the textile adhesive.
Peeling the foil
After the adhesive has cooled, the foil is peeled away, leaving behind the foil adhered to the garment.
